Newly crowned US Open champion Rafael Nadal arrives in Thailand for the PTT Thailand Open 2010.Nadal’s arrival at Suvarnabhumi Airport on Tuesday morning was accompanied by professional tennis player Marc López and seven of his mates, amid warm welcome by President of the Lawn Tennis Association of Thailand Suwat Liptapanlop, BEC-Tero Entertainment Pcl executives and a massive crowd of his fans.Nadal is scheduled to attend a Welcome Cocktail Reception at InterContinental Hua Hin Resort on Tuesday night and will spend one week vacation in Hua Hin town in the seaside province of Prachuap Khiri Khan. He and his mates will also partake in a tree-planting activity organized by PTT Pcl at Kasetsart University Veterinary Hospital in Hua Hin on 28 September.On 29 September at 13.00 hrs, Nadal is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva at the Government House and will attend the official opening ceremony for the PTT Thailand Open 2010 at Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani on the following day. The ceremony will be presided over by Thailand’s Prime Minister at 18.45 hrs, followed by Nadal’s first match on 19.00 hrs.The PTT Thailand Open will be held at Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani.
